Store Policies

PUBLIX
Publix accepts: 

• manufacturers’ coupons (limit one per item)

• Publix coupons (originals only—no copies)

• valid Internet coupons

• coupons from nearby competitors identified by each Publix store. 

(Competitor names are posted at each Publix store.)

We will accept coupons from competing pharmacies for prescriptions only. 
We will not accept percent-off-items or percent-off-total-order coupons. 
We will only accept coupons for identical merchandise we sell. 
Acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon, and we reserve the right to limit quantities. 
Manager approval is needed for individual coupons above $5.00. 
For a buy-one-get-one free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate sale. We will accept a manufacturer’s coupon and either a Publix or a competitor coupon on the same item.
Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor coupon per order. 
The order total must be equal to or greater than the total purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented.

In Gainesville, Most Publix accept: Sweetbay, Winn-Dixie, Food Lion, and Albertsons as competitors. Check with your local Publix for their listed competitors.

FOOD LION

We will only accept coupons that are in date and the product or purchase requirements have been met.
• Competitor coupons will not be accepted in our stores.
• We will accept Manufacturer, Store, Internet and Catalina Checkout Coupons.
• Coupons with limits specified on them must be followed.
• No “cash back” will be given for coupons of any kind.
• Customers may not use more than (1) one coupon per item with a maximum
of (10) ten coupons for the same item per customer.
• We will only accept Internet coupons that appear to be originals.
• We will not accept internet coupons from other retailers.
• We will not accept FREE internet coupons.
• We will accept Manufacturer and Store coupons for FREE items.
• The value of the FREE item cannot exceed the purchase price of that item.



HITCHCOCKS
(There is a Hitchcocks located in Newberry, just shy of Tioga Town Center, and for some of the deals they have, it's worth the drive! AND THEY DOUBLE!!!)

Manufacturer:
• Management approval is required for any coupon over $3.00
• We do not accept any expired coupons.
• We accept only one manufacturer coupon per purchased item.
• We do not accept coupons on items not purchased.
• Coupons must be presented at the time of purchase.
• The coupon must have an expiration date.
• Coupons are subject to advertised offer limitations and all other limitations and restrictions.
• You may use one store coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item.
• We double manufacturer coupons up to and including face value of 50¢, with a limit of (10) coupons per item.  Example: A .50 coupon would double to a $1.00
• We gladly accept valid internet printed coupons up to $ 3.00. Management approval is required for
any coupon over $3.00. The same manufacturer and store coupon rules apply to all Internet printed coupons.
• Internet coupons must scan at checkout.
• Internet printed coupons must have a scan code and have a valid manufacturer address on the printed coupon for remittance.
• We will double manufacturer internet coupons up to and including face value of 50¢.
A .30 coupon would double to .60.
A 1.00 coupon would not double
• We do accept competitor coupons at this time from major grocery stores, dollar stores, and drug
stores within a 20 miles radius. Management approval is required for any coupon over $3.00.
• We do not double competitor coupons.
• We would accept a manufacturer coupon plus a competitor coupon for the same item.
• Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Hitchcock’s Markets coupon OR one competitor
coupon per order.

Rain checks:
• They expire 7 days after being issued.

WALMART

Guidelines and limitations
• We only accept coupons for merchandise that we sell.
• Coupons must be presented at the time of purchase.
• Only one coupon per item.
• Item purchased must be identical to the coupon (size, quantity,brand, flavor, color, etc.).
• There is no limit on the number of coupons per transaction.
• Coupons must have an expiration date and be redeemed prior to expiration.
• If coupon value exceeds the price of the item, the excess may be given to the customer as cash or applied toward the basket purchase.
• SNAP items purchased in a SNAP transaction are ineligible for cash back.
• WIC items purchased in a WIC transaction are applied to the basket purchase and may not be eligible for cash back. Refer to state-specific WIC guidelines.
• Great Value, Marketside, Equate, Parents Choice, and World Table coupons have no cash value and
are ineligible for cash back or application to the basket purchase.
• The system will prompt for supervisor verification for:
• 40 coupons per transaction.
• A coupon of $20 or greater on one item.
• $50 or more in coupons in one transaction. 

SWEETBAY

Sweetbay will accept the following:

• Coupons that are in date, are not missing the expiration date and the product or purchase requirements have been met
• Manufacturer Coupons, Store Coupons, Internet Coupons, Local Competitor Coupons, Catalina Checkout Coupons and Buy One Get One Free Coupons (manufacturer, store and/or competitor)
• Original Internet coupons that have a value of $5 or less and meet the following criteria: have a UPC, scan at the register or have a working PLU
• Internet coupons over $5 with manager/supervisor approval
• Manufacturer coupons for FREE items
• Pharmacy transfer coupons for all new or transferred prescriptions

Sweetbay will not accept the following:

• Coupons that have been identified as fraudulent by the manufacturer
• Coupons that allow more than one FREE item (i.e. Buy One Get TWO Free)

Sweetbay would like to acknowledge the following:

• We will always comply with all rules and regulations printed on a coupon
• Coupons with limits specified must be followed
• We will only accept Internet Manufacturer coupons for free items with a purchase requirement (i.e. Buy one get one)
• No "cash back" will be given for coupons of any kind
• Customers may use one Manufacturer’s coupon and one store "or" competitors coupon on any one item
• We do not honor competitor double coupons

Store management has final discretion in accepting, denying or limiting the use of any coupon presented. Unfortunately, because we are not always able to ascertain which coupons are legitimate and which are not, we will encounter times that our policy might prohibit some customers from redeeming certain coupons. We certainly regret any inconvenience this causes.
